Abstract

Psychedelic psychotherapy (PP) is gaining attention as an effective treatment for conditions such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and addiction. This work-inprogress paper introduces a serious game designed to train mental health professionals in the safe and evidence-based use of PP. The game adopts a visual novel format where trainees interact with virtual patients (VPs) across varied clinical scenarios. Through guided choices and feedback, trainees learn to assess patient needs, select appropriate psychedelic treatments, and apply integration strategies. The system aims to support clinical reasoning and enhance preparedness for future PP practice. Future work includes expanded case content and testing for usability and educational effectiveness.
