About the Journal

The Immersive Learning Research Network promotes opportunities for the emerging immersive learning professional community to collaborate and create the future of immersive learning and planting seeds of innovation locally in the education, technology, and entertainment sectors.

Our different proceedings and publications capture this. iLRN produces different types of publications:

  • Conference Proceedings  – Published once a year, following our annual international conference. Selected high quality papers from the main track and from the special tracks are published as full papers with different publishers. Our past conference proceedings have been published at IEEE Xplore Digital Library and Springer’s Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) conference proceedings series. Acceptance rate for the Springer proceedings was approximately 35 % of the submitted papers.
  • Online Proceedings (Full & Short Papers, Workshops and Poster Abstracts) – Other accepted contributions have been published in iLRN’s online proceedings volume, with individually linked DOIs and an overall ISBN number. This open access proceedings volume is published by iLRN. This is published once a year, following our annual international conference.
  • Journal Special Issues (Extended Full Papers) – A select number of manuscripts published in either of the proceedings volumes are invited to submit an extended version of their conference papers for publication in Scopus indexed journals.

Our Publication Ethics and Publications Malpractice Statement is available here.

The Immersive Learning Research Network (iLRN) Online Conference Proceedings follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) recommendations. As such, our publication ethics and publication malpractice statement are mainly based on the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors (COPE, 2011).
