Superwomb: A VR Gynaecological Health Education App for Women Aged 8 to 108

This work-in-progress paper presents Superwomb, a proposed VR gynaecological health education application designed for women aged 8 to 108. Addressing persistent gaps in reproductive health literacy that contribute to delayed diagnoses and unnecessary anxiety [1], the application provides immersive, interactive exploration of female reproductive anatomy across the lifecycle.Grounded in cultural sensitivity and evidence-based content validated by gynaecological experts and informed by systematic reviews [1, 2] , Superwomb aims to reduce the shame and stigma associated with women’s health [2] by empowering users with spatial understanding of the uterus, ovaries, cervix, and vagina. The initial demonstration focuses on the menopause module, targeting a life stage where women frequently report inadequate information. This paper presents the design rationale, modular structure, interaction mechanics, AI-assisted personalisation approach, and planned evaluation methodology for an application that bridges the gap between clinical knowledge and public understanding of gynaecological health.
