This paper presents a work-in-progress instructional model that integrates drone piloting (virtual and physical) with immersive virtual environments to support Education 5.0. We describe a didactic sequence (imagine, create, play, share, and reflect) and the design of the Manna DroneVerse ecosystem, developed within the Manna_Team research group, which combines Unity-based simulations for PC, Android, and Meta Quest 2 with a physical Track aligned to the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The proposal aims to foster students’ engagement with sustainability topics while supporting the development of soft skills such as collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. To validate this approach, we outline a mixed-method evaluation framework including pre–post questionnaires on SDG understanding, technology acceptance measures, and qualitative data from observations and interviews. As the study is ongoing, future iterations will report learning outcomes and soft-skill indicators based on the proposed analysis.
